What's your story or background regarding this work? How did you develop an interest in serving in this area?I wish I could answer this question with some proverbial, heart wrenching experience. Unfortunately, this is not the case. We just see and are very aware of the homeless individuals, the cost-of-living increases, the want and need for everyone who wants it to truly have a quality of life, myself, friends and family included. I see people working their entire lives not being able to retire, still paying mortgages well into their sixties and seventies. This is not only sad but a real reality. Owing a home, owning land, having a place to call home regardless of one’s past, their race, their religious affiliation, their sexual preference or identity and their gender should be an innate right. We all should have a home, not just a place to live. We all should be able to ask for help and not feel there will be strings attached. Not all homeless individuals want a home, but for the ones who do, who want something better, who dream of a true quality of life, we want to be there, we want to be the neighbor they call on for help, guidance and at bare minimum kindness and friendship.

Describe in which states or geographies you plan to raise money, and planned methods for fundraising. At the beginning of our existence, we would like to focus our efforts on Colorado. More specifically the Denver metro area. This is certainly not us drawing a line in the sand per say, it is just where we would like to start. Ultimately it is our hope and plan to work our way through Colorado and then move on to other states and cities that are in desperate need of affordable, climate friendly, sustainable home ownership. Helping cut down on homelessness and people just surviving with no real quality of life. It is very important for us to cut down on greenhouse gases, build climate responsible homes and communities in and around major cities suffering from homelessness. We believe that we must take ownership of our roles in Global warming and do all we can to counter-act the past and erect a sustainable future for everyone who wants it.

Please provide a more robust description of your vision for this organization. Perhaps, fast-forward 5 years - when you've succeeded, how will the world look different? How will lives or conditions be changed, specifically? We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve the dream of ownership and independence. Through our compassionate and empowering approach, we strive to create a community that not only offers shelter but also supports individuals and families in rebuilding their lives. Together, we are dedicated to making a lasting impact and transforming lives by offering a path towards stability, self-sufficiency, and hope." With this approach, fast forwarding five years, it is our hope and goal that we will have positively helped thousands of individuals and families achieve home ownership, independence and sustainability. At this point, we hope that our efforts have now infectiously spread across the United Staes, and that we are raising funds, building communities of environmentally conscious sustainable homes and NOT just a place to live. Quality of life is the goal here, just because you are alive does not mean a person is living. We have an internal need to help everyone, from all walks of life to live, to have a quality of life that we believe everyone should achieve.
